Movies To Give You The Halloween Feel!

Here are some of the best picks of all time if you wish to get into the spooky season. Even if some might say, it is a little too early. Who cares?

1. Hocus Pocus (1993)

If you are a fan of the spooky season and love watching movies that get you right into the spooky mood, then you cannot miss out on this legendary witch movie of all time.

The story revolves around a careless and curious teenager who went off to explore an abandoned house after they moved to Salem but unleashed something evil. A teenager named Max accidentally resurrected three evil Salem witches.

Now, it is up to them to stop the witches from becoming immortal, and they are taking help from a magical cat to steal their spellbook. Now, it might sound like a very scary movie (at least, for the first part until the cat was out of the bag *pun intended*). But, it is the spooky humor that makes it the perfect Halloween movie if you do not wish to be scared.

2. Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban (2004)

What could make you more into the Halloween mood other than that?

ā€˜Double, double toil and trouble

Fire burns, and the cauldron bubble

Double, double toil, and trouble

Something wicked this way comes…

Although the first two movies of the Harry Potter series would be more suited for Christmas coziness, if you want to get your spook on, you have to watch ā€˜Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkabanā€™ this Halloween season.

However, if you have never watched the Harry Potter series, we suggest you catch up with the other two and then move to the third movie. Even according to the cast and producer, this is a Halloween movie, as rather than seeing Hogwarts under the Christmas delight, we see the gothic and dark Halloween side of the castle.

Plus, with the dark ambiance of the dementors and an absconding Azkaban prisoner, this is the perfect movie for the season for any Potterhead.

3. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)

Now, coming to the much darker side of the Halloween season. If you do not wish to just watch a spooky movie with the atmospheric feel of the season but actually have this intense desire to be at the edge of your seat, scared-

Nightmare On Elm Street is the movie for you!

There are many renditions of this cinema, but there is better than a little retro slasher feel. So, go for the very first edition of our favorite dream slasher Freddy Kruger. The plot is simple, Freddy Cruger is a spirit who is continuously appearing in the dreams of teenagers and literally killing them.

Basically, they never wake up from their sleep. Call about a nightmare come true!

4. Dracula (1992)

Bram Stoker’s Dracula will always make a list when it comes to the best Halloween movies. However, we are not talking about the classic 1930 Dracula here. Rather go for the 1992 one, which gives you more of a Victorian Gothic feel.

With a stellar ensemble cast like Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, and Anthony Hopkins, this is more of a vampire horror with passion movie. This is more of an atmospheric Halloween movie which will have dark Victorian alleyways, traverse to Transylvania, and graveyard scenes.

Again, perfect for someone who doesnā€™t wish to be scared of bejesus out of them.

One For Each Week!

If you do not wish to watch the movies now and save them for the actual spooky months, then it is –

Perfect!

You can watch each for every week and save the best for Halloween eve. Call on some friends, and welcome the spooky season with the best movies.
